Item #18: Doors on Mars at the UAC Research Center

Okay, marine, welcome to Mars. We do a good amount of top secret research here on the
Red Planet, so you're going to be subject to very stringent security protocols. I have no
doubt that you were used to a certain level of secrecy at your old assignment but I assure
you that this will be a whole new ballgame. First, you will be issued a PDA which is
accessible only by retinal scan. You will also be subject to random searches upon entering
and exiting your post; your room and all belongings will also be subject to search.
Additionally, your emails will be reviewed for security breaches and edited accordingly.
Any contraband will be confiscated during these searches. All work and recreation areas
are under video surveillance and the tapes are kept on file indefinitely.

I know this sounds extreme and rather harsh but we are dealing with very sensitive items
and research here; so it's for good reason. I think I speak for the whole team when I say
that I look forward to having a soldier with your service record assigned here, and I am
confident that you will thrive in this environment. That is all; proceed to personnel for your
orders.

Dismissed... you can go now... that's all for now... see you soon...

Uh, having some problems with the door, son? Oh, it's locked, is it? The key is around here
somewhere; feel free to look around for it. I'll be at the bar. Don't worry; if you
encounter this problem again just poke around for a while, we have keys randomly strewn
around the premise for the sake of convenience.
